Spain defeated Argentina 1–0 after extra time to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final at New York New Jersey Stadium. Substitute Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in the 106th minute, assisted by Nico Williams.
Argentina played extra time with 10 men after Enzo Fernández was sent off following a second yellow card. Spain controlled most of the match and held on through Argentina’s late pressure.
This is Spain’s second men’s World Cup championship, following its 2010 victory. Spain also became the first country to hold the men’s and women’s World Cup titles at the same time.
