Ray J vs Orlando Brown fight result: Rapper scores knockdown in comical Zeus Boxing bout
Ray J defeated actor Orlando Brown by decision following a chaotic three-round celebrity boxing match at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Saturday night.
The R&B singer and rapper produced the cleaner work during an untidy contest that delivered considerably more comedy than technical boxing. Ray J also registered the fight’s only official knockdown when Brown’s glove touched the canvas during the opening round.
The sequence was not the result of a particularly damaging punch, but the referee administered a count and credited Ray J with the knockdown. It proved to be the most significant scoring moment of the bout.
Ray J looked marginally more composed during the opening round, landing the cleaner punches as Brown struggled to establish his rhythm. Neither entertainer demonstrated much polished technique, although Ray J’s early activity gave him a clear advantage.
The action became increasingly disorderly in the second round. Ray J and Brown repeatedly fell into clinches before becoming tangled and tumbling to the canvas together. Brown then attempted to raise the tempo, throwing wide punches and pressing forward as the crowd reacted to the spectacle.
There was considerably less action in the final round. Both men appeared tired, and their output declined sharply. The lack of meaningful exchanges prompted boos from portions of the Atlanta crowd before the final bell.
After three rounds, the judges awarded Ray J the decision victory. The official result gave the “One Wish” performer a measure of redemption following his knockout loss to internet personality Supa Hot Fire earlier in 2026. That defeat resulted in Ray J being hospitalized for medical evaluation, raising concerns about his decision to return to boxing.
The fight with Brown developed from a months-long public feud between the two entertainers. Brown, best known for playing Eddie Thomas on Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven, repeatedly mocked his opponent by referring to him as “Brandy’s brother.”
Their rivalry escalated at a promotional press conference when Brown struck Ray J across the face with a stack of money. Security was eventually called as the pair continued exchanging insults. The bizarre confrontation helped generate attention for a matchup that always appeared likely to blur the line between sporting competition and reality television.
That tone continued inside the ring. While Ray J did enough to win, the bout was defined by awkward exchanges, exaggerated swings, clinches and visible fatigue rather than sustained boxing quality.
The celebrity contest was streamed on Zeus Network as part of the preliminary portion of the Claressa Shields–Kaye Scott event. The professional card was headlined by Shields’ middleweight championship appearance, while Zeus also featured a celebrity matchup between Tesehki and Big Lex.
